2011 COUNCIL CONTINGENT APPLICATIONS

2011 Unit Application for Council Contingents

Baltimore Area Council has 20 crew spots for 2011, divided into two contingents.

#1 - June 28-July 11, 2011
#2 - June 30-July 13, 2011

Units may complete an application for one crew per unit, to participate in the 2011 contingents.  If more than twenty units apply, there will be a lottery in early March to determine which units will participate.

The unit Contingent application is found on this page on February first each year, and removed on the last day of February.  The application contains all instructions, financial requirements, policies and procedures.

Individuals may attend Philmont with the Council Contingents by completing the Provisional Application found below.

Philmont asks each Council Contingent to uphold their policy that units and individuals should not attend Philmont in consecutive years.  Therefore the Council Contingent application is open to those who have not been more recently than 2009.

YOUTH OR ADULTS WHO NEED TO FIND A PHILMONT CREW

Application for individual scouts and/or scouters who want to be placed as provisional members in Contingent Philmont crews that have openings for additional members.  Mail the completed form to: Philmont Contingent Provisional Openings, 1813 Midsummer Ln., Jarrettsville, MD 21084.

Note: Going to Philmont as a "provisional member" means that you can join another crew already going to Philmont, even if your own troop or crew isn't attending.  The Council Philmont Committee will work with you and the units scheduled to attend Philmont to find a good fit for you, in terms of location and other crew demographics.
